Portland Workshop - February 14-15
As a Portland native, Shaphan Thomas has spent many hours photographing this wonderful city. This photo workshop is a fantastic opportunity for locals, and those traveling through alike. Designed to highlight the uniqueness of this city, time will be spent at several locations including both night and daytime shoots. Itenerary and lodging information listed below:
Friday February 14:
We will meet on the East Side of Esplanade to do some night shooting of Portland's iconic skyline. Including the Koin Tower, "Made in Oregon" sign, and the Steel and Morrison Bridges
Saturday February 15:
This day will start early in the Morning for a beautiful sunrise shoot of both Portland's downtown west side, and Mount Hood. This area has continued to change in the last 5 years, but the skyline is absolutely amazing and we will capture some images that you will be long proud of!
After sunrise shoot, we will head into town to do some street photography around the city. Photographing many of Portland's unique people, pieces of art, and architecture we will challenge ourselves to see creatively in the mid-day around the city.
We will end with an evening shoot that will include several locations. We shoot a unique location to capture the cities bridges, as well as the city lights at the "golden hour." After this we will head to shoot two iconic Portland images at night - Union Station, and Pioneer Courthouse.
With a weekend like this - you will leave with many great images to be proud of - and many new locations to visit in the future.

More centrally located down town Double Tree offers free parking in downtown, and access to public transit, and very close to many of the locations we will be.
